Yesterday we had a special speaker(Dr. Bailey Smith) in “big church.” Over 70 people decided to accept Jesus Christ as their Savior, including five people from Ignite. That evening we baptized over 30 of them, including all five from Ignite. Congratulations to Zach, Allison J., Broc, Paris and Allision P. you guys are awesome!!!

Thursday March 27 @ 8am we will be leaving the church and going to the Kalahari Water Park.
Costs is $25. This includes lunch, admission into the park, and transportation. BRING MONEY FOR DINNER!
We will be returning to the church at 9:30pm!

T his Sunday JV played several games instead of doing our normal lesson. Who said church can’t be fun? We did several games. The first was a group quiz game where students got in teams and tried to figure out the answers to some trivia questions. The winning team got candy as a prize. The second game was a classic – Gorilla Man Gun. We played three times and each winner got a new cd. My favorite game of the day was a game called BEAT the Volunteer. None other than Nick volunteered for this one. 4 middle school students surrounded Nick with four pillows. I asked him some trivia questions which he had to get exactly right. If he didn’t get it right then he got the crap beat out of him with the pillows. Let’s just say he didn’t get any exactly right. 
We concluded with reading James 2:14-26 about how faith without works is dead and pointless. Just like they needed to “get in the game” to have fun this Sunday morning to win the prizes, laugh a little, or just to have a good time so God wants us to put our faith in the game too. Our faith demands action otherwise we are just playing games.
